Vintage 2015 / To be honest I am not a great fan of Bordeaux Brands. Usually quality is decent to poor. This brand is new. The Bécot family puts it name on it. The winemaking is overseen by the same team as Château Beausejour-Bécot: “the same attention and care as it sibling”. Says the back label. Grapes from old vines. 84% merlot 13% cabernet franc 2% cabernet sauvignon 1% Malbec. It’s a truly good and juicy Bordeaux with expressive red fruit in smell, still ripe tannins and good backbone. Opens up with aeration, roundness. Very good basic Bordeaux from the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux. Great value for money. / Paired with venison
