Nose has a charred soy character, scorched earth, smoky black cherry along with a rich, wet tree bark & smoke. Soft and embracing in the mouth with decent balance, soft tannins and very lovely purple & black fruit finish that is ripe and quite giving.

Very smooth with a subtle but deep taste. Possibly past its best bit with plenty of oxygen this was still a very nice wine.
