2009 vintage. Surprisingly austere and mineral considering the vintage. Red currant, pomegranate pith, dried sage, chalky rock, moss, black tea. 53 Merlot, 41 CS, 6 CF.

Man this has got some serious fruit. Pleasantly plummy with blackberry, cedar, pine cone, even a little black mission fig. 09 seems to be a crowd pleasing vintage. Soft enough to be approachable now. There's some power wrapped up in the core, would love to see the 09s with a few more years. Nice value.
