2015 vintage. New estate on the Saint-Emilion plateau, by the daughter of the owner of La Couspade. 75 % merlot, 25% cabernet franc, 16 months oak (50% new). The story sounded promising, especially for the price (19.95 euro),but what you get in the glass is disappointing. Rather evolved colour for the vintage. Nose dominated by smoky oak. Also in the mouth the wine lacks concentration to support the toasted oak, drying wood-loaded finish. This wine is all about make-up, sorry but I find this vulgar.
