Substance is another brand from Charles Smith of K Vintner's. Starting with the 2016 vintage, the name will evolve to "Wines of Substance." On the nose, slightly candied, ruby, ripe, dark cherries, black raspberries, blue fruits, black licorice, black olive, dry herbs, and beautiful darker fresh floral bouquet. The body is M and M+ tannins. The fruits are slightly candied. Dark cherries, black raspberries, blue fruit blend and strawberries. Black licorice, black tea, a of touch of black olive, loamy soils, chalky minerality, high, round acid and well polished fruit finish.
