This is a spectacular wine: port-like Shiraz aging very gracefully. Black fruit, nutmeg, and wet black earth on the nose. Plum, overripe raspberry, concentration, and balance lead the way on the palate. Tannins are fine, integrated, and beautiful even while being a bit rustic and grippy, even after 10 years aging. This is a hedonistic, warm, and enveloping wine that can carry away a meal that would overwhelm most wines. Long finish. Fantastic.
