Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
On the nose blueberries, currants, cherries, oak, cloves, acetone, metals, spices, eaucaliptus and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with high acidity and nice legs.
Dry to off dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, medicine and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.
This Cabernet based blend from Washington State is drinkable, but simple and not fully balanced. Spicy with a nice mouthfeel, but a little mediciny and metalic. Not my taste.

Wine number two in the lounge was better. More my style - big fruit ok the nose and palate. Soft, medium-bodied mouth. It’s a little sweet and fruit bombish. I can’t imagine this costs much retail but it’s not so bad (though I’m hoping BA does better in-Flight).

For 2015, after letting it breath for 30 minutes it was wonderful. Full body and great finish. Still lingering on the tongue

Bought in Harris Teeter supermarket, in Raleigh,North Carolina, but surprisingly an excellent fruity wine with chocolate flavours; soft but structured tannins. Drank with a wonderful lamb cutlet which was tasty and juicy cooked to perfection at my son’s home by yours truly, a baked potato with sour cream and sautéed Brussel sprouts cooked by my dear wife.
