Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
On the nose blueberries, currants, cherries, oak, cloves, acetone, metals, spices, eaucaliptus and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with high acidity and nice legs.
Dry to off dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, medicine and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.
This Cabernet based blend from Washington State is drinkable, but simple and not fully balanced. Spicy with a nice mouthfeel, but a little mediciny and metalic. Not my taste.
A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah.
13.9% alcohol by volume.

Nov 6th, 201768% cabernet, 32% syrah (whole cluster). Fermented separately with extended maceration. Appealing rich varietal expression and overall balance. With air time the varietals fuse seamlessly. Velvety black fruit with subtle gravel and herb notes. Impressive wine-craft at this price point.
