A delicious wine that should show even more in the next few years. With notes of kirsch and black currant, this soft, but complex wine is delicious. It has slight herbaceous undertones that round out the fruit forwardness. Probably one of the better Chat. Du Papes from this vintage.

Pop and pour. In a very good place for my palate. On the nose: soft incense, fig, raspberry, garrigue, just an absolutely gorgeous perfume. On the palate: fantastic acidity for a CdP...just lovely juiciness, then raspberry, fig, lovely smoky notes. Excellent density, and attenuated tannin on the finish. I suspect this btl would have improved with more age, but sadly it is my last.

Ruby red with aromas of red berries, garigue, and lavender. Intense red berry fruit, smoky minerality, licorice, and cinnamon on the palate. Nice acidity keeps it fresh and lively with silky tannins, 14% alcohol, and medium length. Made in the Rayas style from 100% Grenache.
