Oct 21st, 2018One of my favourite wines! Two thirds of the grapes were picked early and put through carbonic maceration, leaving the rest to dry on the vines for a bit. Then it was aged in some new and old French oak barrels for a bit, and then it was bottled and sold. The nose is luscious and fruity, with a combination of dark and red fruit. Traces of herbs, such at nettle and mint add some beautiful green tones, while in the depths of the wine is the deep, booming bass of barbecuing meat. This wine has everything. Moderate acidity for length, which also balances the high alcohol. The oak really shines on the palate. Fuck yes.
