Like a flabby-ish Calera single vineyard. Killler value for $5 at gross out.

A deliciously fruity French style Chardonnay, no heavy buttery-ness. Loved it!

Citrus and some pear, a little more tropical fruit like pineapple possibly? Also got some creaminess and toastyness.
Warmer climate unoaked chard in the Côte d’Or style.

Hint of citrus, nice balance of acid and apples.

Secondary assessment - 2012 vintage tasted Feb 2015. Tasting substantially better than a year ago. Has the beautiful lemon, orange peel, faint green apple. Wine Spectator would not appreciate this balanced wine. Flavor profile changes considerably as temp changes. I enjoy the 2012 Gavilán much better than the 2012 Chalone Estate right now in its journey. This doesn't have the Chalone petrol. Very clean.
