May 17th, 2020Never heard of Chalone AVA until I tasted this Chard.
Stone fruit, citrus, honeysuckle, and light vanilla highlight the minerality. It’s almost like you can taste the limestone. Fresh and round palate with lush slightly salty finish.
This is really a fantastic bottle. Chalone Vineyard is the first winery in Monterey county and the only winery in the Chalone AVA. I guess when you have the AVA all by yourself, you better be good.
