2017 vintage. Leather tobacco nose. Dark cherry, black raspberry. Good acidity. Will buy again.

Nice smooth tannins but otherwise unspectacular. Not much in the way of aromas. Faint dark cherry flavors. Not the depth one would expect from a ripasso. Alcohol comes to the front.

Verona area grapes, using ripasso. Very dark, but after decanting it for an hour, it was mouth-filling, yet with lighter flavors than sour cherry and blackberry. There were clear hints of lavender. This wine begs for heavy pasta sauces.
