40% Teroldego / 30% Lagrem / 30% Merlot. Notable elements include an ultra-dark ink-like color and robust scents of fruit and spice, culminating with a lingering finish that will leave you wanting more.

Flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and plum with distinctive spicy notes. Oak barrel aged. Pretty light and smooth, but good tannins and spice.

On 10/16/15, the '09 is sour. Improved to a 9.0 by adding a little port.

Varietals I've never had before. Complex wine with nice fruit, spice, and tannins.

Mine was a 2009 had on 7/31/15. It says here "merlot", but it's 40% Teroldego, 30% Lagrein, & 30% Merlot.

Mineral, toast oak lingering: medium tannins. Will see if it improves in the next hour.

Alta Luna probably isn't a 'giant smiley' performer, but the sweet tastes of plum, raisins and black cherries are making me feel generous. Greasy wine for under $20.
