Let it breathe! Out of the bottle this wine is straight alcohol. After a few minutes in the decanter the oaky woodsy complexities begin to reveal themselves. Still too much alcohol for my taste. There are better rounder Gigondas to be had.

Help I've fallen and I can't get up . Face first into a forest floor. For me that is ok... as I'm partial to the nose. The alcohol is not well controlled burning both my nose and roof of my mouth. Not sure if some shelving would help can't quite get a handle on the structure of the wine. Passable but............

Great wine education. First cellar temperature glass out of the bottle was unpleasant at best. After breathing the wine grew in stature and complexity. Alcohol is too much and is the major detractor. Lots of Soil and low forest floor. Opened up to a more musty almost cantaloupe fruit. At all times there is a slightly unpleasant finish on the back palate.
