Let it breathe! Out of the bottle this wine is straight alcohol. After a few minutes in the decanter the oaky woodsy complexities begin to reveal themselves. Still too much alcohol for my taste. There are better rounder Gigondas to be had. — 9 years ago

Had the 2004 vintage as well. An excellent red blend of Grenache, Carignane and Syrah. Dark fruit and a round finish. This Chateaux is an excellent value. — 9 years ago
