First time trying the Chenin from the Cocagne lieu-dit from one of my favorite value Loire cooperatives. A definitely leaner and more herbaceous iteration of Chenin than I'm used to but it's not necessarily bad, just different. Definitely like their Pineau d'Aunis rosé quite a bit more, but I should definitely try a few vintages of it first like I have with their rosé to be completely fair about that. Lime zest, slightly unripe honeydew melon, pomelo, tarragon, a bit of gooseberry pungency that would possibly throw me off and make me call it as a Sauvignon Blanc if served it blind, and just a tad of wet stone minerality. Nice focused, high acidity makes for a nice quaffing wine. Nothing special or stand-out but it's tasty and I although I drank it alone I'm sure it'd be relatively food friendly as well.
