Cavallotto
Vigna Scot Dolcetto d'Alba
Wine full of juicy fruit, packed with loads of joy. Red fruit, sweet cherry, some leather, lots of lavender and violets. Mild tannins, soft acidity, medium long finish. Wine made for easy evening, good for pizza and cold cuts.

Jan 19th, 2021I generally love Cavallotto’s wines - especially after getting to spend a beautiful afternoon tasting there a couple years ago. Difficult to overstate the hospitality and warmth encountered, and the feeling of walking through the Bricco Boschis vineyard. That said, this dolcetto is a bit impenetrable at this point. With some air it evens out, but definitely one that could take several years to come into balance.
