Really feel like I don’t drink enough cab franc, especially from Chinon. This is quite nice though certainly still a touch “rustic” with some slight funkier notes on the finish. Not overwhelming in terms of green pepper but you definitely know it’s cab franc. Only 12% alcohol, and in general sort of aggressively restrained. Enjoyed.

The OGs of Chinon, finally an elegant cab franc that doesn’t smack me in the face with those pesty overbearing pyrazines @Ted Corvey - amazing what can happen when fruit isn’t picked over-ripe, overextracted, and then bathed in new oak.

Dark fruit with earthy, forest floor notes and peppery spices, with a depth that goes beyond the fruit. Snappy, fleshy, and extremely fresh and zesty. Remarkably approachable stuff.
