Jul 24th, 2019Purple-red, moderately extracted pigment. Leather, cherry, raspberry and mint notes in nose. Cherry, raspberry and fruit punch flavors with length, tart on initial pour with some slight skin astringency. Needs time to open. Tannins get grippy, fruit more intense but tartness remains after an hour. Interesting varietal expression, a decent red from this tannic-forward producer.
