Dense ruby red, highly extracted pigment. Cherry fruit leather note in nose. Abundant red fruit flavors, cherry dominant from initial pour with strawberry and raspberry. Not much tannin expression at first; coarse skin tannin astringency emerges ten minutes after opening, gradually softens thereafter. Slight seed tannin bitterness emerges after an hour alongside vanilla-mint and floral aromas and cola flavor. Fruit-forward but just ripe enough flavor expression. One of Castoro’s better efforts. Decant an hour.
