Blend of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. Dense purple red, highly extracted pigment. Blueberry, raspberry, mint, butter and barrel aromas, flavors. Fruity, not quite jammy, definitely not overripe, high skin tannin astringency on initial pour. A tad light on acid. Cherry emerges after 30 minutes, some seed bitterness after 60 minutes. Astringency largely resolved after 60. Mint changes to menthol after two hours. Decant two hours minimum.
