This is a great Syrah from Sierra Foothills, California. Dry, spicy and fruity on the palate.

Showing black fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, wood, vanilla, coffee and cola.

Full bodied and bold with big tannins, after 2 hours of airtime.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Will be even better in 3 to 5 years. Delicious now, though.

I had it over a year ago and it is so much better now.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

14.4% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Dark ruby in color with a short brick rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, figs, cherry pie, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, light barnyard, alcohol, vegetables, pencil lead, chocolates, smoke, coffee, beef jerky and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruity, with blueberries, blackberries, black currants, cherries, wood, vanilla, licorice, coffee, vinaigrette, sweet raspberries, chocolates and black pepper.

Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tart raspberries.

This is a very nice Syrah from California. Showing nice complexity and balance.
A little Stinky ( for those who like that in wine). Spicy with a nice mouthfeel, and an interesting bite at the ending.

Needs an hour to open up, but even better after 3 hours in a decanter.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of Meats and cheeses.

88 points Wine Enthusiasts.

Aged in American Oak barrels for 12 months (25% new).

14.4% alcohol by volume.
