Fruit forward on the palette, but it melts away to savory black earth with subtle herb and spice notes, a level of complexity I wasn't expecting. The medium plus finish lingers on with a touch of sweet oak. An impressive wine for just $8, it drinks like a wine at 3-4 times that price.
