This 2010 is spectacular, and I think the use of American and French oak for 18 months I'd what makes this a great wine spectacularly rustic with a hint of new world flair. It is a blend of 80% temprenillo, 10% garnacha, and 10% mazuelo, and the combination delivers a very fragrant nose of leather, cinnamon, mashed cranberry, and herb de Provence. The pallet is elegant, exhibiting notes of blackberries, cedarwood smoke, gravel, and a touch of vanilla richness to the finish. For $15 I don't think you can ask for more bang for your buck.

Dec 5th, 2016Typical rioja. Enjoyable. Deep fruit, better after open for 15 minutes.

Nice Tempranillo and Garnacha blend that's a bit milder than some Tempranillos. Spicy and mild oak on the nose. Light fruit and some spice on the palette.

Sep 5th, 2016Agree with Alex on oak and spice. Dry, good with Manchego.

Jun 9th, 2016Venturing out from the pinots. Dry finish, a little spice. We liked this one for the price, $15.
