Great price, good wine, better vintage. Very powerful on its youth.

Light ruby in the glass with a wide brim. Floral aromas all over this initially. Cranberries and blueberries are the stars here but cedar and and spice compliment well. There’s that classic Brunello old leather aroma that we all know and love along with smoke and earth.

Classic Brunello pretty much tells the story here. Classically structured with high acidity and proper balance. Elegant yet approachable at the same time. More dusty leather on the palate with vibrant blue and red fruits. Smoked tobacco and dried herbs. Give this plenty of time to breathe and you’ll be rewarded. Even more so if you wait a few years.

Well-made, with some classic Brunello flavors, but still tasting youthful and somewhat astringent. Decanting helps but still missing roundness or acid to make this memorable. $37 at Vine Republic.

Really good but just a tiny bit too alcoholic to be great; I’m betting it will get there in a few years. Pottery and car leather along with burning sandalwood make up the gorgeous nose. Had it with a meat ragu and even used some to make the sauce.

Nice. Less tannic than I expected. Smooth.

You're sitting on the sun-drenched patio of a 400 year old farmhouse in the hills of Tuscsany. On a lazy Saturday afternoon. This is the Brunello you want. Lush, but not to fruity. A little tannin, but not much of a bite.
