Deep ruby-garnet (blood?) red in the glass. Fully present nose of cherry and pencil shavings. Full body with medium plus acidity (softened by the touch of Merlot) and velvety tannins. Palate echoes the nose with a hint of vanilla midway. Finish is medium long and black. Solid.

Rich nuttiness and old but sweet oak, firm tannins but nothing upsetting with a rich, delicious and black fruited flavour profile. An aromas reminiscent of pine nut oil at times too

It's alright. "I can taste the leather." Kind of smoky, with a nice body and savory tones. A tad dry, and leaves a sultry fruity taste on the tongue.
