Castell'in Villa
Chianti Classico Sangiovese
Deep red/brown color. Leather, oak, dark berries, spices, wet soil and dried fruits. Fantastic freshness, medium+ tannins and great balance.

Mar 5th, 2019What Jordan Wardlaw said. Nose of rose, Earth, blackberry, and baking spices. Maybe even a touch of green herb. The pallet is punchy with striking acidity and tannins surrounding the rim of the tongue. There’s a tart blackberry and black cherry element with a dusting of earth. Quite nice. Develops well in the glass and over a few days. Quality stuff.

Feb 1st, 2019Very good for a Chianti but had after the 2011 Riserva so tasted like some age would have done it better. Should try again. $30 @ Cru Fine Wines
