“Non-traditional”, early harvesting, fermented and aged in concrete eggs this is a rustic, yet seductive example of Argentinian Malbec. It needs time in the glass to open up and it’s really rewarding once it does!

Apr 3rd, 2021Some old world earthiness to this Malbec. Plummy, but not overpowering. Smooth finish. Like all Malbecs, you've got to let it breathe. This gets better as it breathes more.

I should have bought more of this. Really good wine for the price. Juicy with the perfect amount of oak.

Definitely a Malbec but there's some Bordeaux-like earthiness/gravel to it. Interesting aging process (egg shaped concrete vats) too. Just uncorked so may open up. 2012 from WTSO. $15
