2012; Ripe (not overripe!) and polished. Perhaps the best Barbera of the year so far.

Blackberry. Cranberry. Medium body. Great acid...I mean it's a Barbera, right?

Bought at Provisions on Van Horne, 42$, restaurant price, but they gotta survive the pandemic! Bright and delicious, had it with maple mustard drumsticks and The Third Man.
Plonk: “This classically styled, certified organic and biodynamic Barbera hails from the region of Alba in Italy's Piemonte. Leading with dusty tannins and mouth-watering acidity, this bottling opens up into a savory palate filled with alluring notes of leather, bittersweet chocolate, red cherry and red currant flavors.
VINTAGE: 2019
GRAPE VARIETY: BARBERA
REGION: PIEMONTE; ITALY”
WINEMAKING METHOD: CERTIFIED ORGANIC, CERTIFIED BIODYNAMIC
