Interesting Nebbiolo appellation in Monferatto over Asti. It’s high elevation so cool Alto P style but still very Langhe. Great stuff. Nose is mid season cherry and spicy plum. Clean and mineral. Very aromatic. Palate is just so delicious. Stunningly juicy and super pure. Juicy with just tons of energy. Really dense but so fine grained. Big tannins but ripe and sweet. Utterly delicious and compelling. Brand new discovery for me.

I slow oxidized/slow decanted/whatever this one for a few days.
It has the full nose of dried flowers, tobacco, tar and dried fruit.
The acid is really interesting - every taste Chinese black vinegar? It's borrowing from that.
Very rustic, I wouldn't consider it a refined Nebbiolo, the tannins and texture and taste all have a rustic appeal like a flannel shirt or log cabin or a campfire- comforting and appeals to the instinctual senses.
Listening to Lucio Battisti 'Amore e non amore' vinyl bc it seems appropriate
