Super soft and silky, even without decanting. Licorice and plum, 👋 🍂

One of three bottles consumed with friends. We had with steak but it was overshadowed by the Sleepers cab. Didn't think it was amazing despite the high ratings.

Varietally correct muted garnet color with a wide brim and cherry red undertones. Pure austere fruit on the nose with dried plums, cherries, and savory mushrooms. A blend of four different vineyards, unfortunately that’s probably the most interesting thing about this wine. Closed in and tight because of it’s youthfulness obviously, a few more years may bring something spectacular out of this wine but it ain’t there yet. It is approachable even now but it’s quite one note at the moment. There’s promise on the palate with typical leather, and red fruits with spice and earth playing a role. I’m probably being too harsh on this wine, it could develop into a gem. But for now, it is what it is.

Supple cherries and soft leather, the little bit of tannins mellow with decanting. Sheer heaven.
