Deep purple in color. Slight red fruit in nose. Cherry and plum flavors in mouth with slight bitterness, spearmint and vegetal notes with puckery acidity on finish. Needs time to open. Pleasant rounded mouthfeel. Blend probably high in Merlot, Syrah?

2017 tasted June 2019. The 2016 is totally different, and the ‘17 is much much better. Mint and chlorophyll on the nose. Unripe cherries on the front, but it has a nice tannic structure balanced between smooth buttery tannins and slightly puckery tannins. A very nice drinking claret!

Nothing overly special about this blend... Functions more like an easy drinking table wine. Got it as part of my wine club package but probably wouldn't purchase this for any other reason.
