Through some serious investment the Ribatejo region has recently come a long way in shaking off its reputation as little more than the purveyor of cheap and honest wine in bulk to the low-end taverns of Lisbon. This wine seems to exist only for a purpose: to score on the syrah hype. It has a Weak finish and lacks the aromatic richness of syrah. While it is drinkable, it is by no means an honest wine. There better options for Portuguese syrahs
