If you were expecting a fruit forward new world expression of Syrah when you opened this bottle you would be in for a shock. Instead this is a dense brooding beast of a wine with more than a nod to N. Rhone. Meaty and vegetative aromas hit you hard into a dry lingering slightly peppery finish. Lovely stuff - More please Chile!
