Casa Cadaval
Trincadeira Preta
After a taste in a wine house I had to buy some bottles for me and my friends.
It's a wine that have great 1st and 2nd mouth and a long 3rd mouth that characterize this grapes.

What? I'm the first person to review this wine on Delectable...? I drank this wine after walking the vineyard in Tejo with Teresa. The vines are 70+ years old and still as vibrant and fresh as a much younger plant. I say this because those characteristics reflect into the wine. There is no vertical to the varietal. Similar to Grenache and Pinot but nothing like it. The Cadaval version is fruit forward and earthy, almost salty. The fruits are mostly red and ripe. Little oak used. Perfect for duck, stone soup, and heavy cod dishes.
