Awful. Definitely had gone bad. Smelled strongly of raisin and vinegar and mineral bite. Couldn’t make it half a glass. Yuck.

This is a perfect CAB, not too expressive at the nose but it has pleasant notes of red woodland fruit. Dark garnet at sight, brightly. In the mouth it is very friendly, tannins presents, smooth and silky, medium persistence. Really good

Black licorice, a little chewy. Warm and inviting. Give it plenty of air. Can be enjoyed with a meal or sipped by the fire. Served it with a beef stew and it held up well.

Carmen Gran Reserva Merlot. This isn’t a typical Merlot. Kind of a herbal, smoky nose. Very silky and smooth, can’t get much off of it other than blackberry. Got this bottle close to my friends cabin we’ve spent a few summers at, and since he was in town, I opened it to celebrate!

Good value cab. Spice notes that complement steak.
