If you find yourself in need of a table wine, never look further than barbera. Beautiful fruit by itself, but enough acidity and tannic backbone to pair with a variety of foods. Carlin de Paolo in particular makes a lovely one.

Pretty fruity on first inhale. Black cherry, tart cranberry, wet leaves/mushroom and some smoke/roasted meat. Medminus tannins. Medplus acidity. Medplus body. Vicky says black currant and cherry. Pairing with salty Jamon brings out the tannins.
