I seem to be the only one leaving reviews here. For those of you that live in Ontario, this is excellent QPR. This is great value for a Brunello. It’s what you should drink if you feel like you want a Brunello but can’t justify that price tag for an everyday wine. This bottle took nearly two hours to fully open, but it did. The palate is equal parts of orange peel, sour cherry, vanilla and a dusty limestone road. The tannins are visible but do add some needed structure. Recommended for QPR at ~half the price of a typical BdM.

Decanted for about 45 minutes, enjoyed over a couple hours over dinner and opened up beautifully. Minimal dark fruit, hints of dark cherry, espresso, chocolate shavings. Rustic, slightly acidic tannin with good structure. Tannins opened up over time but maintained the rustic notes. Well balanced. Served with grilled Calamari, truffle pasta and Ragu parpadelle.

As dusty as an old carpet but on the opposite side of the scale of appeal. This fires on all cylinders with floral aromas and pleasing acidity to drive home the light red fruit flavours in the mouth. Slam dunk!

Nice orange tinge, some bricking. This brunello is in a good spot. There is nice balance of cranberry/strawberry and also some orange zest and spices. Again, better than the 2012 and 2013, the other two vintages I’ve tried.

Wanted more. The 2011 was (surprisingly) a better year here, it seems. Fortunate to have two more 11’s but also one more 12. Will be interested to revisit.

The 2011 is showing better by comparison. The same strawberry and clove/orange leather flavour bomb but left focussed and thinner.

Super bright red fruits. Cherry and strawberry. Leather and violets and also some sage. Acidity is very present but not overwhelming. Not sure I've ever had better value for a Brunello.
