The wine pours a brown-tinged red, and has a glorious nose of earth, lambic-beer funk, ripe cherry, and Brettanomyces yeast. On the palate a mild earthy sweetness is counterbalanced by an reasonably acidic lambic / wild beer funkiness, that is quite pleasant if unexpected. Medium tannins lead this wine to a surprisingly gentle finish. This is my first Nebbiolo and it offers a lot of fascinating surprises... I really loved it.
