Called this a 2007 blind based on the deep purple reddish core that faded out to a light orange to the rim but is actually a 2006. On the nose I got stewed black plums, printer ink and a TON of chocolate abd chocolate covered cherry. The palate is hugely chocolate, so much so that my buddy and I thought the best food pairing would be a molé with a braised short rib. Moderate acidity and tannins that have mellowed much with time, the finish is smooth and light.
