There is a surprising amount of vitality in the 2018 Campion Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands.
It displays a medium ruby/red appearance, and is backed up by attractive, hi toned, floral/red berry, aromatics and flavors.
It is softly structured, but well balanced with ample fruit, crisp acidity and light, dusty tannins at the finish.
It should be a perfect partner for tonight’s planned mushroom-flecked risotto. Best when slightly chilled, to reveal everything it has to offer.
