A few fun bottles from last Friday.

I can’t imagine enjoying one of these on the young side or shortly after release. Whole cluster punch to the face! But with 10yrs on it, the whole cluster usage has given this great lift and spice on the palate. Deep ruby with a touch of purple at the core. Aromatically it is very expressive revealing peppercorn, violets, stem, and underripe black cherries. The palate is very energetic and powerful yet carries the weight effortlessly. A very concentrated, yet complex, wine that is still improving. Thanks

A beautiful color. Nose was subdued at first, but bright cherries and deliciously tart fruits on the first sip that softened as the bottle opened up. A complex bottle that continued to evolve with time, perfectly complementing a meal of lamb and prawns.

This is the first full bottle of Jensen that we’ve had. Lavender and blueberries on the nose with a long and full bodied finish. Went well with Salmon for our Father’s Day and Buen Camino dinner.

Day 3. Holding up but showing some oxidation. More confit red fruit. Less varietal character than we'd expect perhaps.... Very NORCAL, very ripe, incredible silky texture. Incredible length.

All the expected ripeness and fullness to fruit, subtle secondary , silky texture, perhaps lacking ample acidity needed to balance.
