Colchagua Valley Carménère

Aging gracefully, with fresh flowers, blackberry, black pepper, and just a slight green-ness, with harmonious mid-weight structure

Picked this up after being inspired by an article talking about drinking more varietals native to South America (as opposed to European grapes planted in South America). Needed to open up for a bit but a great compromise wine for those who like full bodied and fruity and those who prefer more mineral or tobacco type notes.

Drinkable. I thought it was a little "weak" when I first tasted it.

This is all kinds of yum! Exactly what you expect from a Carmenere. Not too heavy but great flavor.

The 2012 is pretty good and very like the 2011.

The 2011 is nice. Good soft fruit tannins and rich flavor.
