I received this from Calcareous as part of my Limelight Club subscription and decided to give it a try with a grilled burger topped with Stilton. The (wine's) flavors are mostly jammy and it's a lovely garnet color, but I can't say it compares favorably to any other Calcareous wine that I've had. I thought the Syrah and Mourvèdre would temper the Zinfandel, but it's kinda hot and spicy, and lacking a flavor profile that I find particularly welcoming. It also had a lot of sediment for such a young wine. Anyway, I don't dislike it, but I can't say I like it either. Overall, it's just meh.

A fun blend- I’ve never had a ZSM before (had plenty of GSM) and I gotta say... I love it. The zin adds the perfect amount of sweetness with Great black pepper and blueberry notes.

Full rich blackberry, currant with subtle vanilla and spice on the nose. Layers of deep silky plum mid palette. Dry tart finish. The more air the more it opens.
