“Ruit Hora” is a line of poetry from the Odi Barbare collection of poems by Giosue Carducci and translates to “The Hour Hastens.” A blend of 65% Merlot, 25% Cab Sauv, 5% Petit Verdot & 5% Syrah. Aromas of dark fruits and pleasant noticeable spice. On the palate blackberry and sweet cherry, cacao and vanilla flavors. Nicely balanced, soft tannins, opened quickly, lingering ending with fruit and gentle smoky oak.

Mar 24th, 2019The first wine for some time which was not an indigenous Sicilian variety. A serviceable Bordeaux blend with some cassis and brambley notes. We had so many seafood dishes in Sicily Wines like this would not have been appropriate. From Bolgheri - Home of many of the Super Tuscans.
