Very tasty with cherry, plum and raisin flavors
and soft tannins with a little spice. Great 2009 vintage. Paired beautifully with Italian sweet sausage, fennel with Pernod pasta.

Quiet garnet , wide garnet rim . Quite meaty and mature , dried dark fruits , black cherry , sage , thyme and a slightly volatile note . On the palate quite juicy still , with dark cherry , strawberry and that herbal, balsamic and woody note, balancing acidity and quite rustic tannins . Ok liquorice tinged finish . Mature and needs to be drunk now and over the next 3 years . Might have been a bit better a couple of years ago to be honest . A bit rustic but an honest and characterful wine none the less .

A little watered down, but still some depth here. Dark purple/Ruby, clear, no sediment. Dark blackberries, currants, little bit of animal/prosciutto on the nose. Paired well with porkchop and smoked mussel faro.
