Casual pour of the Sunday evening, to wrap up a good weekend of tasting and running.
This is a tempranillo (or ull de llebre as it's called in Catalunya) dominant blend.
The nose is made of blackberry, leather, black pepper, a touch of meat juice too. Quite inviting!
The palate is showing some great acid drive, some tanginess even, lovely blackberry and meaty notes, some width, some lively tannins in the rear, before a long, fruity and tangy finish, with a nice tannic layer all along and beautiful savory notes. I bought this for about 10 Eur in local currency, but I'm sure it's even cheaper in Spain. Absolute steal!
