Not as deep ruby as other Amarones, medium viscosity; high alcohol, dark cherries, raisins and distinct vintage port aromas and spices on the nose; supple tannins, high alcohol, well balanced but closed/undeveloped/youthful on the palate with a medium finish of licorice. Second glass: coffee and fudge aromas, but still a closed undeveloped appearance in mouth. This is 2010 vintage.

Not as bold as I had hoped but a nice complement to the moose stew anyway. Subtle tones of butter and cocoa with a touch of pepper, for me. A long after taste with medium body and soft alcohol with light tannins. Very drinkable and applicable to many situations.

La montini amarone della valpolicella classico 2010

Ett fantastiskt vin. Mycket kraftigt. Liknar terra DI brollio men ännu mer karaktär. Ett nytt favoritvin. 200 kr på systemet
