I suppose I should like this a bit more than I do. The nose is minty cedar followed by oaky vanilla. But the fruit falls apart just after the attack and then I get a sense of massive oak tree. This is a very chewy wine with big tannins and abundant acid, and deep black fruit typical of Syrah. Too much wine for me. I treasure more restraint.

Peppery and a little fennel on the nose. Hints of vanilla on the finish. Dark fruits, sweet under tones. A little tannic.
